An Arc ecosystem map labeled UZEN Labs an AI-agent project this month. This note sets the record straight: we are a one-person, multi-project lab — SEO tools, templates, AI research, a customs agent, and one focused Web3 safety-education project. Onchain Diary is the Web3 project. Loom is closed. Neither label sticks to the lab as a whole.
At the end of our latest Build Log, we put it plainly: “we’re a one-person lab, we build SEO tools and write about Web3 scams.”
That describes UZEN Labs better than any single project label. We build across different areas. Our Projects page shows SEO and publishing products, AI research, a customs-classification agent, and Onchain Diary, our focused Web3 safety-education project.
A recent Arc ecosystem map labeled UZEN Labs as an AI-agent project. As we explained in “Our Dead Project Was Still Alive in the AI Ecosystem Maps”, that label came from an old project page — not from what UZEN Labs is building now.
The page described Loom, an on-chain identity and NFT marketplace for AI agents, in the present tense. It also kept a Quick Start and other operational details, even though Loom had been wound down. That made an archived experiment look like a live product to systems reading the page. Loom is a closed project; it isn’t Onchain Diary, and it doesn’t define UZEN Labs today.
The old domain raised a separate concern. The Build Log warns that a released crypto-related domain could be reused for a lookalike bridge, fake airdrop, or drainer. That’s a risk the post raises — not a claim that it happened. It’s one reason we take the way we present and retire Web3 projects seriously.
We see Web3 as high-risk, and we won’t put ourselves in danger just to pursue a label or a product idea. Our work in this area is focused: Onchain Diary researches on-chain fraud and turns that subject into safety education, including guidance on wallet drainers, phishing, and smart-contract risks. We don’t claim that education makes the wider ecosystem risk-free.
A lab can work on one Web3 safety project without becoming a Web3 company. UZEN Labs is a one-person, multi-project lab. Onchain Diary is our dedicated Web3 safety-education project. Loom is a closed experiment. Keeping those distinctions clear is part of describing our work honestly.
